Morrison Smith Jewelers designed an inaugural sterling silver pin that was gifted to each Circle of Red member.  Each year a donor makes a donation to the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association, the pin will be updated with a stone to show their generous support.  The evening consisted of a pin ceremony, explanation from Chuck and Pam Smith on designing and creating the pin, networking and more.

Here is how your Donation will Make A Difference

Fund vital research and programs that fuel the development of medications, surgical innovations, treatments and recommendations for preventing heart disease. Teach women to learn their personal risk of developing heart disease by taking the Go Red Heart Heart CheckUp. More than 1.8 million women have taken the CheckUp which asks them to have their blood pressure and cholesterol checked in the last year, and to understand their risk. Give patients the tools they need by increasing continuing medical education programs. Over 200,000 healthcare provider offices have received critical patient information on women and heart disease, allowing more doctors to help more patients prevent heart disease. Spur our lawmakers to take action to support research, prevention, and other public policies to improve the heart health of women. For example, over 59,000 red dress paper doll petitions have been presented to Congress in support of the HEART for Women Act to improve the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of heart disease for women.
